Everything everywhere all at once

Great title for a critically acclaimed box office success.

Terrible strategy for branding.

Sadly, it’s exactly what a lot of brands do. “There are 10 reasons why our brand is great. So we’re going to repeat them all. Everywhere. All the time.”

The impulse to impress is understandable. But would you really want to go on a date with me if I told you ten reasons why I’m great? Would you even stick around long enough to listen to any of that?

No

But you might listen if I talk about something you care about.

So there’s the lesson for brand strategy: Don’t brag. In fact, talk less. Say one thing at a time. And say something that’s meaningful to your prospect.
