The Situation
Having evolved from being a bootstrap ministry to an accredited educational institution, Visible School was looking to elevate their visual identity accordingly, as they changed their name to Visible Music College
The Goal
The goal was ambitious. Position the school as legitimately academic. And creative. And a respectable place for parents to send their kids. And a cool place for young people to learn. All with a faith-friendly rock and roll vibe.

The Solution
Working in partnership with Obsidian Public Relations, Tactical Magic facilitated brand strategy, logo design and corporate identity system development to support the transition - which included facility interior and exterior design.
The Outcome
After considering a broad range of identity concepts, the Visible team settled on the idea of reinterpreting a traditional collegiate shield as a guitar pick. The attitude of the mark complements the school’s personality and appeals to their students. Mounted on the side of their main building, the logo even has a visible impact on the skyline of Memphis.
