A long overdue baseball card

Former Memphis Red Sox outfielder Lonnie Harris enjoyed a distinguished career in the Negro Leagues in the fifties and sixties before turning his focus to public education. We got to know him at Autozone Park, where he rarely missed a Memphis Redbirds game. Learning that he never had a baseball card of his own, we made him one. He kept several in his pocket from then on, always ready to oblige anyone who asked for an autograph.
