Susan Akil Ewing, former president of the American Advertising Federation in Memphis, has been elected to serve as regional director for AAF’s seventh district.
As a regional director, Ewing will serve a two-year term beginning this month, providing overall support for the AAF clubs in Memphis, West Tennessee and the Mississippi Delta. Her responsibilities include linking together the individual clubs within the region to share ideas and to create a talent pool for further district service.
The regional director’s duties include monitoring clubs in the district for problems, coordinating and encouraging attendance of clubs and federations at district and national AAF levels, and conducting state meetings.
Ewing is currently the marketing strategist at Memphis-based brand identity firm, Tactical Magic.
“Susan is a proven leader and we’re proud to have her represent our club. She will certainly continue to be an important asset to AAF,” Trace Hallowell, AAF member and managing partner of Tactical Magic, said in a release.
Headquartered in Washington, the AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 40,000 professionals in the advertising industry.
